I have collected here some interesting projects and requests for information posted on the Women in World War I thread. (Uninteresting requests have been deleted.) I would like to know how the women of world war 1 dressed,
Especially the housewives, it would be soo awesome if some1 could
respond, cuz i really need this for a project in school..
If any one knows what everyone else wore please let me know..

i'm doing a monlogue in drama for my HSC based on a women who killed her husband after WW1 because he didn't understand how she had gained independance whilst he was away fighting. I wanted to find out any information on how the war affected women to prepare for this role. thaks for any information in reply.

If u want info on women before WW1, 'The Great War', then try a search page like Google!!
But try books aswell. How about 'Modern World History', by Jim Mccabe.

this is for Andrea:housewives wore tattered dresses that were messed up, stained, and often did not fit.some families did not have enough money to buy material for a dress, so they sometimes wore rags and old sheets for clothing.i hope this info. is helpful.bye!!!
